Coldplay Coming To The Philippines: Some Fans Claims Tickets ‘Overpriced’?

It is already confirmed, that Coldplay will be having a concert in the Philippines as part of their Asian tour.

They British band will be having a concert in the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds on April 4 next year.

However, the ticket prices are so steeply high, with the VIP ticket costing PhP22,500 pesos, and the lowest bracket – the General Admission – being in PhP1,800.

We then came across this tweet from Trixie Esguerra comparing the ticket prices with those in the overseas Asian cities where Coldplay will also be having a concert:

We have confirmed the pricing for the Singapore concert, but we are having difficulty in confirming the ticket prices for Seoul and Tokyo concerts, but we will update this article as soon as we can.

Some Twitter responses cited that the steep price is due to taxes.

Whatever is the reason, many people are finding hilarious ways on buying their ticket, especially that “golden-priced” VIP ticket. Like helping finding Ronnie Dayan (said to be Senator Leila de Lima’s driver and ex-lover) to secure the PhP1 million bounty by the government, or dreaming of a fundraiser or a donation drive, or are willing to sacrifice a kidney or some other organ.

I have seen a couple of friends (a lot of them?) that could have listened to some of Coldplay’s songs and are liking them. I do disclaim that I had never seriously listened to their songs till before writing this article. Hahaha. Like, most songs that trend today are annoying to my ears.
